“Mike has done several jobs for us. Perhaps the most awe inspiring was the installation of 7, 8, and 9 inch wide plank hickory flooring. His ability to match the wood grains prevented the “prison bar” effect so common with this species. A retired carpenter of many years experience told us that he would not have been to match Mike’s precise cutting by the wood stove where slate met sugar maple and sugar maple met hickory. This job required the removal of the original log floor joists and their replacement with ones made with LVL . A large window was also refitted with the original squared timber exposed.”
